The Windows 10 update started rolling out to users a couple of days ago, 29th July to be exact. But not everyone has been able to upgrade yet. A lot of people are still waiting for that pesky pop up saying the Windows 10 update is ready to install.
Well, you can easily skip that and upgrade to Windows 10 NOW!
The process is simple, relatively, you need to download the ISO from Microsoft. You can do this by downloading the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft.
It’ll give show you a couple of versions, you need to make sure you download the version which matches your current version or else you’ll get an error saying “The license could not be verified”. For Windows 8 / 8.1 Pro you’ll need to download Windows 10 Pro. Same goes if you are running Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate. For all the other version, given that you received a message saying your machine was eligible for the update, you’ll need to download Windows 10 Home.
Just download the Media Creation Tool from this here
Note: I recommend you download the ISO instead of running the install on your machine, select create media for another machine. This way you can save the ISO in case you need to re-install or upgrade another machine. Once you have the ISO, simply mount it and run the Setup.
