Update Plesk to 11.5

The data center we use hasn’t updated it’s OS images to include the latest version of Plesk, 11.5. This is how we went about upgrading the panel.

First off, make sure you backup everything. We work off of the notion that if something can go wrong, it WILL go wrong. We’ve been through times where the seemingly simplest of tasks have left us with a bitter taste in our mouths. So please, backup everything before proceeding.

As you can see below, the image comes with Plesk 11.0.9.

To start the upgrade, head over to Tools & Settings, click Updated and Upgrades under Panel.

Once you click on it, give it a couple of minutes, it’s updating Plesk Updater in the background. Don’t know why Plesk doesn’t tell you about this. Once it’s done updating you should see a screen similar to the one below:

Click on Install or Upgrade Product

All you need to do now is click Continue

You’ll now get a log window

Once complete this is what you’ll see

That’s it!
